Congratulations on your “new”
hotel. I am so sorry I missed you the other day! As fellow innkeepers we have
a lot in common. If Brian or I can ever be of help, just let us know. (I once
got some advice from Lee Ogden who owns the St. Cloud Hotel: “Just remember
that your relationship with each other is more important than the wallpaper.”
There were several times in the renovation process I was called on to remember
that little tidbit.) I absolutely love what I am doing, but I have to say,
there are days…

What a lovely and informative web site. You have done wonders to the hotel. We

Michael & John....my cousins,
my girlfriend and I spent last weekend at the FGH (upstairs) ...it was
wonderful, comfortable and I would love to come back and stay again someday.
You are very gracious hosts and I will not hesitate to recommend your hotel to
any of my family that is vacationing in the Northstate. It was too much fun
staying there and I can only picture seeing the hotel in it's heyday! I only
wish we would have had time to have your Father's Day BBQ with you - maybe next
year!

All our praise goes out to John, Michael and Nora you made our week-end getaway
such a memorial event. Your B & B was our first ever and really made an
impression on us. We will surly be back to visit again. Your hospitality was all
it could be. Our dinner was most enjoyable and Michael your breakfast was
scrumptious. We will be sure and spread the word about what a lovely

Hi Guys,
Say, I'm a local and I've been going to FGH for years...and have eaten some of
your meals too...yum!
I'm writing because I was researching "things to do" for a soon to arrive friend
and found the OLD webpage for Carol & Andy's FG Hotel still up and running. I
do not know if the phone numbers and email have changed, but if they have ...you
could be losing customers in the confusion.

my name is jolie. i have not stayed at the hotel but looking at this page
brought back some memories for me. i used to live in french gulch with my aunt
an uncle. we lived in the a-frame house next to the store. my aunt an uncle were
susan an jim skaggs. they left after the house burned down in the most recent
fire. im 27 now i left french gulch when i was 13. only lived there a couple
years but the town made quite an impression on me. looking at your page an
pictures made me remember alot of good times at whiskeytown and swimming at the
falls and riding bikes up an down main street back an forth in front of the
hotel. i know this is not a site to share memories but i just couldnt help but
to say nice site an hopefully i will be able to come back an visit soon. thanks

You and John are doing marvelous, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my
heart, For the business aspect, but to me more importantly the Quality of your
friendship,
Not only have you made the town of French Gulch grow, but me to as an
individual.
You have added ten more chapters to what once was a one chapter short story.
My life if so much fuller having gotten to meet you two, 3 (i have to include
Nora).In a short period of time I have grown to love each and every one of you.
And for that I thank you. May everything you touch turn to gold, and may all of

Howdy! Bonnie and I really enjoyed her birthday dinner tonight in your hotel.
It was a wonderful experience with delicious food while sensing a feeling of the
old West. The hotel is a charming reminder of the past. It must be wonderful
to live there. It's wonderful to dine there and enjoy music from the band in
the background. Your imagination and creativity shows in many little touches
such as your notices about soup and your Halloween spookghetti. Thank you for a
night of discovery and magic.

I had the pleasure of taking my girlfriend and another couple on a double date
to The French Gulch Hotel and we ran a little late but, forgive me I don't her
name, this wonderful lady sat us anyway and all of us agree they served us some
of the best food we have had in years and we listend to a guitar picker play
some old Cash songs and after dinner we stayed for a couple drinks and just
admired the history in this beautiful hotel next time we plan on an overnite
stay thank you very much for your hospitality and superior service I work for
oldies 105.3 and I will spread the word about this wonderful place that if you
have never been to than seriously what are you waiting for
